I´m very interested in all the battle´s who where fought outside of europe... just for example in the colony´s like in afrika or even in (or near) Japan. If you got some specific informations and maybe interesting storys i´ll would be glad to "hear" them .

@vantage: I dont think Antarctica is a country. I could be wrong, but polar bears arent capable of the abstract thought required to come up with great ideas such as: cheese, shiny metal things, and government, so i dont think i am wrong. Nice try though

@coldheat: Consider my weekend a time dedicated now to finding battles fought outside of europe. Would you like me to focus on Japan, Africa, or any other place in particluar, or just do random things i find?

In Africa there was a german colony called "German East-Africa" (nowadays i think it´s Tansania) under the command of General Lettow-Vorbeck should be very exciting for me, to know about. But also i´ll would be very pleased to read about all the "random things" you´ll find out.

Polar bears are found in the north, Artic. Penguins are found in the south Antartica.

Duh, everyone knows that Penguins were not fighting in Europe, they neutral during the great war.

I believe it were polar bears planning to invade the penguin kingdom? Or atleast I've heard of their so called plan Von-Frozenstein before, you know. Had somethign to do with a walrus killing the heir to the whale throne or something...

You know as well as I that the polar bears have been planning to invade Antarctica for decades - but the orcas won't let them because they favour penguins above all other food .

Seriously, if you want to do research, why not research Russia in WWI? We'll need the data eventually, and we want to have some interesting battles - not that it says in our news "All quiet on the Eastern Front" some day. Perhaps we can do a spin-off mod someday for the Russian Civil War? Could be interesting... with Bolsheviks, Czarists, newly independent nations like Finland or Latvia, Entente-Interventionists and Germans supporting the counterrevolutionaries...

The "Infantry Tank Mark IV Churchill" is a WW2 tank!

It is right that Churchill fought in Turkey - Winston S. Churchill, that is, not the tank which arrived in the second half of WWII. He was First Sea Lord at the time and initiated the attack on Gallipoli. Afterwards, he was forced to resign from his position because of the disastrous outcome...
